Product Overview
WT-S is the granular companion to our WT-P powdered carbon, designed for fixed-bed applications where continuous operation, low maintenance, and regeneration capability are priorities. The "S" designation indicates the granular (spherical) form factor, optimized for packed-bed operation in pressure or gravity filters.
While powdered carbon offers rapid response and batch flexibility, granular carbon excels in continuous-flow systems where automated operation and minimal labor intervention are desired. WT-S is engineered to withstand the harsh conditions of wastewater service—high organic loading, biological fouling, and periodic backwashing—without excessive attrition or capacity loss.

Key Application Areas
- Tertiary wastewater treatment — final polishing before discharge or reuse
- Industrial process water recycle — removing organics that would foul reverse osmosis membranes
- Groundwater pump-and-treat — remediation of contaminated aquifers
- Leachate treatment — landfill and industrial waste site effluent polishing
- Wetland discharge protection — ensuring compliance with stringent surface water standards
Fixed-Bed Engineering
- Uniform Particle Size: Ensures even flow distribution and prevents channeling
- High Crush Strength: Withstands bed loading, backwash hydraulics, and thermal regeneration stress
- Low Fines Generation: Minimizes filter clogging and extends run length between backwashes
- Regenerable: Thermal reactivation restores >90% of original capacity for multiple cycles
