Product Overview
Our vapor phase activated carbon(CFV) is manufactured from selected coconut shell through carbonization and high-temperature steam activation. The coarse granular mesh keeps pressure drop low across deep beds — cutting fan energy in large HVAC, biogas and industrial air handling systems — while the natural coconut micropore structure adsorbs VOCs, odors, hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans in a single bed. With hardness above 95% and very low dust, it fills, runs and empties cleanly in big vessels. We produce the CFV series in-house under ISO 9001, tailor specifications to your bed design on request, and ship every batch with a certificate of analysis.
Key Application Areas
- Industrial VOC Treatment: Captures volatile organic compounds and solvent vapors from manufacturing exhaust streams, helping facilities meet emission regulations and protect worker health.
- Home & Commercial Air Purification: Removes indoor odors, formaldehyde, and airborne contaminants in HVAC systems and standalone air purifiers, improving indoor air quality.
- Biogas Upgrading: Adsorbs siloxanes, hydrogen sulfide, and trace organics from anaerobic digester gas, protecting downstream engines and enabling pipeline injection.
- Natural Gas Treatment: Removes odorants, trace hydrocarbons, and sulfur compounds from natural gas streams, ensuring pipeline quality and cryogenic equipment protection.
- Catalyst Carrier Applications: Provides high-purity support media for precious metal catalysts in chemical and petrochemical processes, leveraging its low ash and consistent 4×8 sizing.

Key Advantages
- Low Pressure Drop Performance: The coarse 4×8 mesh minimizes flow resistance, reducing fan energy consumption and allowing smaller blower specifications in large air handling systems.
- High Hardness & Low Dust: >95% strength ensures minimal attrition during filling, operation, and emptying, improving workplace safety and protecting downstream equipment.
- Uniform Gas Distribution: Consistent particle size promotes even flow across the bed cross-section, preventing channeling and maximizing contact efficiency.
- Versatile Vapor-Phase Capability: Broad-spectrum adsorption handles VOCs, sulfur compounds, and odors in a single bed, simplifying system design and reducing capital costs.
Why Low Pressure Drop Matters in Deep-Bed Air Treatment
In large air handling, biogas and natural gas systems, pressure drop is an operating cost: every extra pascal of bed resistance is paid for in fan power, every day. Fine-mesh carbons adsorb fast but punish high-flow systems with resistance, and oversizing the bed to compensate adds capital cost.
The CFV series balances both sides. Coarse granules minimize flow resistance and distribute gas evenly across the bed cross-section, preventing channeling, while the coconut shell micropores still deliver effective adsorption of VOCs, siloxanes and sulfur compounds. In biogas upgrading that means higher throughput within the same vessel; in HVAC it means smaller blowers and lower energy bills over the life of the system.
CFV vs Fine-Mesh and Coal-Based Gas-Phase Carbons
Fine-mesh options such as our high-activity grade (CTC-100) in 30×60 mesh maximize surface area and breakthrough kinetics in compact vessels, at the cost of higher pressure drop. Coal columnar grades such as our coal pellet carbon (P-80) and the PL series offer economical gas-phase performance with extruded geometry. CFV is the deep-bed specialist in our lineup: low flow resistance, hardness above 95%, low dust and easy handling in large HVAC, biogas and natural gas systems, with mesh options from 4×8 down to 30×70 to match your vessel design. Choose CTC-100 for maximum capacity and rapid kinetics; choose CFV when bed depth, energy consumption and handling decide the economics.
