Product Overview
AE combines two essential protection capabilities into a single carbon media: organic vapor adsorption (Type A) and acid gas neutralization (Type E). This dual-function design simplifies inventory management for safety officers and gives wearers confidence in mixed-threat environments.
The carbon base is prepared through alkaline solution loading followed by controlled calcination. This creates a surface rich in basic functional groups that react with and neutralize acidic gases, while the underlying micropore structure continues to adsorb organic vapors through physical adsorption.
