Product Overview
PLC-350 is our columnar (extruded pellet) carbon manufactured from coconut shell raw material. The columnar form factor—cylindrical pellets extruded through precision dies—offers the highest packing density and most predictable flow characteristics of any carbon shape. This makes it the preferred choice for engineered systems where pressure drop calculations must be accurate.
The "350" designation refers to the minimum CTC (carbon tetrachloride activity) of 35%, placing it in the high-activity category for gas-phase applications. The coconut shell base provides a hard, dense pellet that resists breakage during handling and operation.

Key Application Areas
- Industrial air purification — VOC and odor control in fixed-bed systems
- Solvent recovery units — consistent performance in cyclic adsorption/desorption
- Gas mask and respirator cartridges — predictable protection times
- Cigarette filter applications — selective filtration
- Chemical storage vent control — emission compliance
Columnar Advantages
- Maximum Bed Density: Highest weight of carbon per unit volume, reducing vessel size
- Predictable Pressure Drop: Uniform pellet dimensions enable accurate engineering calculations
- Excellent Handling Properties: Low dust, free-flowing, easy to fill and empty
- Directional Strength: Pellets resist crushing along the bed axis while allowing some flexibility in handling
